Description
The Strickland Protocol treatment was developed by Jenny Strickland, who was born and grew up in New Zealand and has been a qualified Chartered Physiotherapist since 1984. Jenny joined the University of Greenwich in 1997 as a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Sports & Exercise Science. Her areas of research interest include sporting injuries of the knee and shoulder, and flexibility of soft tissues, and she has published a number of papers in these areas. Click to read more about Jenny Strickland. She also worked as a Lead Physio at the London Olympics, 2012.
The treatment itself is carried out at home with the supervision of a parent or carer, following our simple instruction manual. The child MUST refrain from sports, however the average time until the child is pain free is 3 weeks. Sometimes sooner, and sometimes a little longer. The treatment must be done every day and religiously to the book. It only takes a few minutes per day.
We have so many fabulous testimonials. Parents often email us with their amazing feedback and sometimes they voluntarily post onto our Facebook page.
Over 4,000 children have now been treated around the world, which we are delighted with. Jenny now works with several UK football academies, treating and preventing Osgood Schlatters Disease.
The treatment only works for children.
